THE EXPERIENCE

Pack your picnic and climb aboard! Gather your family and friends for a relaxing summer outing aboard a vintage, diesel-powered train — with afternoon and evening trips available. Trip length and routes vary by date, and you’ll enjoy your picnic right on board as the countryside rolls by. Cars reserved for guests 21 and older will also be available.

THE OFFERINGS

Picnic Trains depart from Angola on June 28th and 29th and Pleasant Lake on August 10th and 16th. Tickets include Child and Adult seating in Deluxe Coach, Table Seats, and Lounge Seats for guests 21-and-Over. A private Pullman Car is also available for charter for groups of 15-20.

All excursions are roundtrips. Guests are responsible for bringing their own food and picnic supplies.

Tickets are automatically emailed to passengers upon checkout and are not sent via any other means. Guests are advised to double-check their email address for accuracy before completing their purchase and to check their spam or junk mail folder if they don’t see the confirmation email.

Parking, boarding, and safety information is included with every purchase confirmation. Your review of this information is essential to ensuring an enjoyable experience.

Passengers wishing to travel together should book their tickets as part of the same reservation and under the same name. Refunds or exchanges are only available 30 days or more before travel. In place of refunds, credits for future travel and experiences are offered. Due to their historic nature, only select cars are ADA accessible. Due to the historic and vintage nature of our rolling stock and locomotives, we reserve the right to substitute motive power or equipment if necessary. All trains run rain or shine.
